Dr. Dominique Shimizu is a consultant, professor, and public speaker with experience in field and lab life science research, statistics, K-12 and higher education online and traditional teaching, instructional design, assessment, curriculum design, lab science safety and education, as well as lab equipment sales.
She is currently teaching college Statistics, Research Methods, and Biology online and has taught additional courses such as Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology, Physical Science, and AP Biology. Along with providing professional development and live trainings, Dr. Shimizu reviews courses, serves as an SME, and writes and reviews standardized exam questions. As a former Faculty Development and Instructional Designer at a state college Dominique designed and ran many faculty trainings and student and faculty online courses while helping to open a new campus by supporting the training of and course design for many new faculty.
Dr. Shimizu holds several certifications including Florida teaching certificates, Quality Matters Peer Reviewer and Trainer, and MS Innovative Educator and Trainer.
